MOVEMENT!!

Last Thursday night was the first time I was SURE that those little flutters were more than little flutters and it felt like something teeney tiny was rolling around in there. It's gotten more pronounced over the last few days. Last night was very exciting. I woke up in the middle of the night to feel a good deal of commotion in there. I think she was very happy to finally be home and in bed (having left the office with me after 11 p.m.!) So far, she's very much like her father and her older brother in that sleeping in the big bed seems to be one of her favorite activities (if jumping for joy is any indication).

Ooh, the scandal!

Prince Frederic von Anhalt, husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor and self-alleged father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby, now claims to be the father of Shane's baby as well. Upon hearing the news, Judge Seidlin cried like a damn wuss.

Fanilow Belly

Dan, Shane and the belly spent the weekend in Vegas! Always open-minded, the baby does not judge her mom for loving Barry Manilow, which Shane has since she was at least 5 years old. In fact, even Dan and baby got into the show and were singing along throughout (or at least, listening attentively). Can you believe that Dan actually took Shane here as a present? What an amazing husband! Leo and Leah, I see Wayne Newton in our futures. . . . (velvet blazers optional)

Here's the belly at an Obama rally in Los Angeles. I'm not sure if she's made up her mind yet -- she wants to hear all the candidates first. Her mom liked what she heard.

Valentine's Belly

Here are some belly profile shots from yesterday. Dan gets uber points for sending roses to two of his favorite ladies -- both pictured. :-)

And, yes, I may be sticking the belly out a little bit -- I'm so excited it's here and I finally look pregnant !

We had another good appointment with Dr. Dwight today. He listened to her heartbeat and everything sounds normal and healthy. He assured me that all the major hurdles have been cleared, and since we are near the half way mark, there's nothing to worry about any more. (fingers crossed!) He didn't take an ultrasound today, so no new pics of her from the inside, but here's a picture of the Belly walking Dizzy on the red carpet this weekend at the Bulldog Beauty Contest in Long Beach, CA. You can see he's being man-handled by his adoring fans. Next year we'll have to figure out matching costumes for Dizzy and his little sister. And, soon I'll have to take some nice pictures where you can actually see my face AND the belly!

Based on the results of an amniocentesis, we are having a baby girl. So she will join her two cousins, both expected in March, in girlness. Bo-ring.
