8 months old!

The unofficial weigh-in (Dan) says she is 20 lbs. and 8 oz. and current length is about 27.5 inches (very unofficial, hard for mom to measure a wigglin' babe). That puts her around the 85% mark (according to the web). It's unofficial because Sloane's mommy forgot about her doctor's appt. last week because she was working all weekend -- how horrible! Sloane forgave her though. We'll go at 9 months instead. Ooopps!

My First Oscar Party

Sloane had a fabulous time at her first Oscar party on Sunday. She selected the first three categories presented correctly, but then pretty much tanked in the pool and came in dead last! But, at least that got her money back, a prise of sorts. Her daddy also did well in the pool and won a DVD. Sloane says the most exciting part of the evening was playing with a beautiful purple necklace on "some pretty lady who also fed me! what a night!" (in other words, Bridget rocks!) Uncle Scott was really great with the little lady as well. So many fun faces to look at and grab! As you can tell, the party really tuckered out our little "urban ballerina."

Thanks Trevor and Tania for hosting such a great party. (red carpet, hot dogs, movie candy and all!)

Meeting of the Minds

She kept grabbing his face. He was impressed with her grip.

Daddy's Little Girl

Here are Sloane and her daddy from a couple of weekends ago, playing her favorite game: grab daddy's face. Aren't they a cute pair!
In other developments, we're pretty sure she has started to say "mama" -- so exciting! Her "words" now consist of frequent monologues of "ba-ba" and "ga-ga," with the occassional "ma-ma" (which gets a VERY excited reaction from her mama, as you can imagine) and the ever-present stream of sloanish that we have all come to love, even if not to understand.

Farmer's Market Sunday

Sloane went with her mommy to meet friends Ronan and Iris at the Studio City farmer's market today. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun (though, I think Sloane and Ronan agree that their mommies talk too much)! It was fun looking at all the people, and the ponies and baby animals. One day, they'll be big enough to ride on the ponies and pet the animals -- won't that be fun! Oh, and of course, we ran into Mr. Kingston Rossdale -- AGAIN! He was cute as ever and got a HUGE kick out of riding one of the ponies. I'm not sure if he and Sloane were just playing it cool because of the risk of the paparazzi seeing them in public together, or if things have "cooled." He didn't come over to her, but the order of the pictures below makes it look as if she was checking him out! (but really, right in front of Ronan? she's too good a playah to do that!) [and, no, that's not a pic of Kingston from today . . . but, I got it online of him at another farmer's market a couple of weeks ago . . . ]

It's ON!

The baby is on the move. Repeat: The baby is on the move. Diz, she's mobile now. The hunter has now become the hunted.
