Dexter's New Stats
As you can see, little Dex is lifting his head up now. He's also "talking" and smiling more, generally doing really well and growing nicely. He went for his 2 month check up and here are his new stats:
height: 23 inches (50%); weight: 11 lbs., 14 oz. (50%); head circumference: 16 inches (75%)
He was a bit cranky today after getting his new vaccine shots. His mommy was a bit cranky too (I'm sick.) Hopefully everyone will be in better spirits tomorrow!

Mr. Smiles
Okay, so he's not smiling in all of these, but you get the idea. There are no shortage of Dex smiles when he's getting his diaper changed. His enthusiasm has even infected his sister, who actually requests them now (as opposed to screaming "No!" and running away when we dare mention the possibility). Ha, we'll see how long THIS lasts!

Kristie's 1st Birthday!!!
The whole fam spent a lovely Saturday afternoon in Hermosa Beach for Kristie's first birthday. In the first picture are Shane's sorority sisters from USC (Pi Love! ha ha ha): Ilysha (former roomie, jr. yr.), Kathy and Tina (former roomie, soph. and sr. yrs. AND mommy of the birthday girl) -- also pictured is the birthday girl herself! Most of the rest of the pictures are Sloane having the TIME OF HER LIFE at what she clearly considers the best place on earth: Hermosa Beach Valley Park. Dexter also made a brief appearance on the playground, doing some pull ups with his pop.

Dexter in the Jumperoo
Uncle Ross and My Kids
Ross came to LA for 4 days to meet his new nephew, hang with his neice and say hey to the rest of the fam (and to celebrate my birthday). He was a big help with the little man and lady, especially in the mornings and during/after the evening pick up from day care. While it took her a little while to warm up, I know Ms. Sloane will miss "Uncle Ross" and his readings of The Very Hungry Caterpiller. Dexter and Sloane also LOVED dancing with Uncle Ross in the morning. It was great having him here!!!

the cradle will rock
At the end of a tough day, the girl has to pick up her Stratocaster, put on her jammies and kick out the jams. Don't trust anyone over 3.
