Swim Class

Sloanie and her class swim every day. I went to go watch yesterday. All the Buzzy Bees line up in the class room, then play outside for a couple of minutes while everyone finishes getting ready, then line up again to head to the pool. (Editor's Note: There are a lot of boys in her class and they are quite "rough and tumble"!) And, she is doing great. She is learning to blow bubbles and kick and makes her mommy very proud. (NB: Yes, they have a pet turtle at her school!)

Happy Birthday Sloane!

Happy Birthday, my beautiful three year old big girl! Sloane had a great day with presents (morning and night!) and parties (school and home!) and most of all -- CINDERELLA! (She watched it all the way through 2 TIMES on her birthday!)
It was also "Imaginary Trip to England" Day at school, so her Buzzy Bee class sang "London Bridge Is Falling Down" and passed out cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches to the whole school -- then it was time for her party! Her mommy and daddy were happy to attend.
She keeps reminding me that she is not 2 anymore. So cute.

Brad & Rebecca's Wedding

The fam spent last weekend in Northern Washington state near beautiful Lake Crescent. We stayed at the Lake Crescent Lodge, a short 5-10 minute stroll through the woods to Olympic Park Institute, the site of all wedding related activities. It was great to see Brad, Rebecca, Leo, Leah, Erin, Brian, Alex, Sai, and the rest of (most of) the Columbia/SF crew.

The ladies made the 45 minute trek to Forks, WA, the home of Edward, Bella and Jacob. There were definitely other tourists there that weekend, as the opening of Eclipse was but days away. Sloane says she is neither Team Edward nor Jacob and seems to see no reason to choose. (That's my girl!) During this outing, the boys watched the USA in the world cup and had a fabulous time (despite the loss).

Unsurprisingly, Sloane was a dancing machine all weekend, dancing alone for hours to the music at the welcome party and during cocktail hour while watching the live band, literally pulling strangers out to dance with her onto the dance floor at the wedding, became fast friends with one of the flower girls and even danced many songs with the bride and groom! Poor little Dex was under the weather, but in good spirits nonetheless. What a little trooper. He's starting to crawl up a storm now! It was a VERY fun weekend.

And, we are all looking forward to staying home for quite a while!!!

Bathing Beauties

Aren't they cute? The whole fam is headed up north to Washington state (3.5 hr. drive north of Seattle) for a wedding this weekend. We leave for the airport tomorrow morning at 5:45 am. (shudder!) And, somehow I will finish this brief tonight! Fingers crossed!

I've been working too hard all week and miss my babies!! Sniff, sniff. I will hold them tight all weekend long.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's day, to all you daddies out there! Dan got his team together on Sunday and did his daddy thang. AND, he got some good nappin' done. AND, we went out to eat TWICE! So, it was a pretty good day for one and all.

BBQ at Tannis and Jeremy's House!

The fam spent late Saturday afternoon at Tannis and Jeremy's new house in the valley. The kids had a blast with all the other kiddies (people said the place looked like a daycare, there were so many little cuties!), and their parents had a great time too (the burgers were DELISH Jeremy!). We'll have to force another party on them again soon!

Pool Time Fun

Sloane also got to go swimming with grandma on Saturday. What a day! And, the day's fun didn't even end there! phew!

Sloane's Birthday Comes Early (and keeps on comin' ...)

Sloane got a big present from her grandparents, early for her birthday. We won't be in town next weekend and we'll be busy with the party the weekend after her birthday. So, now seemed like a good time to unleash the Jeep! She LOVED it (of course)! She also told us she was saving the spot right next to her for Dexter. So cute!
