Little Gus!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend in Half Moon Bay. We hit up the beach on Sunday and Lemo's Farm for pony rides on Monday. Mommy decked the kids in patriotic red, white and blue and we hit the town! Sloane especially loved the fireworks ... hopefully I can get a copy of the video shot by my brother of Sloane watching the fireworks and repeatedly exclaiming how beautiful it was. So cute. And, it really was beautiful!

Little Bridget!

Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy and Little Miss Bridget Kennedy will be moving to San Francisco at the end of the summer (sooner?), so we were in luck: they were visiting from NY on the weekend of the 4th to get a house. They had it all wrapped up in a bow by Sunday, so they drove down to meet us in Half Moon Bay. It was so great to meet little Bridget, and fun to play with a little Brooklyn hipster baby. Sloane especially liked holding her feet and pushing the baby carriage. Dexter liked not being the smallest kid in town. Bridget is a really good and easy baby, and I'm sure it have everything to do with her wonderful parents. (okay, maybe not, but she is great and they are wonderful!) And, I'm so glad she will grow up a California girl!

Ross & Javie

It was great to hang with Ross and Javie in beautiful Half Moon Bay, where Javie seems to be the honorary Mayor. We had a great time viewing the fireworks from Sam's Chowder House - and an equally fun time hanging at the Harbor Bar, where Javie works. We even caught a little of the 4th of July parade down Main Street after eating some of the most tastey sandwiches I've ever eaten. Yum. We'll have to drive up more often. Maybe we'll make it our annual Independence Day destination!

Road Trippin' 2011

We all got in the car and headed north (including Dizzy, who was dropped off at a doggie hotel on the way). We stopped in Palo Alto on our way to Half Moon Bay, to visit some of daddy's old haunts.
