Dexter's 8 month check up

Dexter is doing great! He is 18 lbs., 28 1/2 inches and has an 18 3/4 inch head circumference. Those meausrements put him in the 25th, 75th and 100th percentiles, respectively. He didn't gain any weight since last month, but hopefully that is just due to a couple of bouts of flu and his reluctance to start solids. Hopefully he will gain a bit by his ten month birthday. But, mommy is not at all worried -- attitude is happy and healthy, if you can't tell from these pics! His big sister is doing great too! (And, the big girl is now wearing PANTIES!!! and, will soon be starting pre-school!!!) :)

Happy Birthday Sophia T!

Malibu, Part Deux

The fam had a really fun time with Great Aunt Susie and the Wallaces. We'll definitely have to do it again soon! (and, hopefully next time a bathing suit will dissuade my little exhibitionist from taking all of her clothes off . . . again . . . this time within five minutes! ha ha ha . . .)

Welcome to the World, Cousin Max!

The third Mendelsohn-son has risen! Happy Birthday, Max! He joins cousins Dex and Asher, all three boys born within a year of each other, and big-sister-cousins Claudia, Gabby and Sloane. What an ADORABLE gang!

Tannis's Shower

Melly, Deb and I threw Tannis a baby shower shower at Cecconi's in WeHo. We reserved the "Butterfly Room," which inspired the butterfly theme. It was really a fun afternoon. It's wonderful to see how excited everyone is for the impending arrival! As Sloane would say, "One of these days, Tannis's baby is going to be a beautiful butterfly!"

Uncle Jimmy's Baby Shower for Tannis

The whole fam went to a baby shower for Tannis and Jeremy, hosted by her dad and Maggie. Sloane got to pal around with 3 year old Izzo (Isadore), who would adorably come up within a couple inches of her face and politely ask "Would you like to play with me?" To which she would respond, "Yes!" She also got into an argument with the host, "Uncle Jimmy," after she gave him a big kiss. After she did he said "You give such good kisses!" Then she said, "No, YOU give good kisses!" Then he said it again, then her -- it was adorable. I think Dex had fun too. He hung out on his dad's chest for most of the party. He and Rhoads (another young lad at the party, a month dex's senior) stared at each other for a while. Good times.
