This was the line at our polling place on election morning, November 4, 2008. I have never seen a line there before -- this time we had to wait for about 40 minutes (a little longer for me, as I hung out with Sloane while her daddy voted first). With Los Angeles County reporting a historic 82% turnout, it figures. David Alan Grier (currently of "Chocolate News" and formerly of In Living Color and, I kid you not, "How to Get the Man's Foot Outta Your Ass") stood in the line right in front of us. How do you get the man's foot outta your ass, you ask? Elect Obama. So we did.

actually, I take it back. It could have been the best election ever. I momentarily forgot about that stupid Prop. Jerks.
