Sibling Fun
Belle of the BigGirl Bed
We slipped up for a few months. Until about a week ago, Sloane was sleeping in our bed. I think it started when I was working for weeks on end and Dan had to take care of the kids all by himself and we were both just too tired to do anything about it. So, she won. But, then we got our collective butts in gear and it was funny how easy it was to set her straight. It involved a daily sticker chart and the promise of a present if she made it all the way through 4 nights in a row. She got to pick the present. Without hesitation she said: "A Belle Dress!" And, so it was decreed. (She had the Belle doll from before when she and her mommy went to a sing-a-long screening of Beauty and the Beast at El Capitan Theatre.) She is again the princess of her castle bed. And, she's loving it! So are we.
Beer Me!
Thanks, Dex.
We think that his desire to remove all beers from the fridge has something to do with the fact that he spent all afternoon in a bar with his dad, watching Stanford beat Cal. Not sure which way it cuts.

Malibu III
The fam headed to Malibu again with Great Aunt Susie -- and Tannis, Jeremy, Anna, Bob, Angie, Georgia and Libby. It was a full house! Despite the worry we would have to call the game due to rain, the weather was fantastic. And, we saw dolphins! It always makes me wonder why I don't own a mansion on the beach in Malibu. Oh, right. I remember now.
Can't wait to go back!

Halloween!
We were a royal family this year -- with Cinderella leading the charge. We were all a bit exhausted after waking at about 3am Easter time, getting on plane #1 at 7am, getting home (with the Diz) by 3pm, then turning right around and suiting up for the big night. But, we rallied! And, it was really fun. After some family photos, we went next door to Lynn's house for the first trick-or-treat of the night (and then the next house up as well). Then we jumped in the car to go trick-or-treating in Encino with the Wallaces -- Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and Tiger Lily Wallace, to be more precise. The kids loaded up on candy and then we called it an early night. Fun!
Jackie and Tim's Wedding
Jackie and Tim got married at Ca d'Zan, the Ringling Mansion in Sarasota, Florida. It was beautiful! What a wonderful weekend. The bridesmaids and Jax got ready together at the Lido Beach Resort. Then we took some pictures at the mansion (including some funny clown-themed shots, which was the brainchild of the groomsmen -- we were originally against it and then quickly embraced the concept, and it really worked with the circus theme!) The cocktail hour followed the ceremony -- and below I've posted Jamie's pic of Dan and I taking a picture of ourselves on his iPhone during sunset with the mansion behind us during the cocktail hour. There were some great shots of Dan and I in the photo booth a couple hours later and hopefully I can get those when the booth company posts them and share those as well. The reception was lovely -- right on the water. The weather was great; the food was great (including the cotton candy, see below); the company was the best. Truly a fantastic weekend.
