Sloane met her great-grandfather today--specifically, her father's mother's father--in Santa Monica. Despite their 100-year age difference, they seemed to get along.

Here are scenes from the 100th birthday party for the babies' great-grandfather, Erwin Diwald, held today in Santa Monica. He was happy to see everybody--including out-of-town guests--but was pretty choked up about the whole thing. Which is weird, because you think he would be used to birthdays by this point.



Above is the guest of honor with his oldest daughter. This could be Mike and Gabrielle in 66 years. I just blew my own mind.
