It took about a month of (admittedly) interrupted labor to complete Dexter's new digs. Rather than resting during the weeks leading up to my return to work, as planned, I worked on Dexter's room most of the time that Dexter transitioned into daycare. I did the painting (stripes!), the painted chalk board and its stenciled frame all myself. The lettering for his name on the chalk board was a present from my friend Nan (of Brooklyn). As usual, my estimation of how long a project would take was WAY off. So, I didn't get the "vacation" I planned on, but I am very happy with the results and will be every time I go into Dexter's new room. I hope he likes it!
