The whole family, with grandparents in tow, went to the Paramount Holiday Party, a carnival for kiddies in the New York, New York section of the Parmount lot. It was so fun!!! There were many carnival games, like the "kick a soccer ball through a hole" game that Sloane decided should be a bouncey house instead. We all shot a few hoops too, played tick tack toe with baseballs, caught flying ping pong balls with a net and your typical carnival fun fare. There was a kiddie ferris wheel, which Sloane loved and went on twice. She is so brave! There was a much older girl too scared to go on so her older brother asked me how old Sloane was. When I told him, he just turned to his sister with a face that said, "oh, come on!" And, the first time, she went around and around all by herself! (The 70 lb. weight limit had the rest of us grounded.)
There were also bouncey houses galore! They had the standard classic model and the obstacle course (for older kids). You can see Sloane trying it in the second to last picture, but it was impossible for her to climb it.
They also had a giant two story slide bouncey house -- and we know it was two stories tall because it was right next to one of the New York "apartment" buildings. The last picture doesn't really do its height justice, but you get the idea of how Sloane was able to get up to the top -- with all of her parents' might! It was very hard to climb to the top while carrying Sloane, but her daddy and I both did it. In fact, I even strapped Dex to my chest and then all four of us slid down together. Sloane was so cute; when we got to the bottom, she exclaimed: "the whole family!" Then she demanded another round. After three climbs to the top with Sloane, Dan was tuckered out. So, I actually climbed to the top with Sloane on my back and Dex on my front. What a workout!!! Dan got some video of that, so hopefully we'll get around to posting that next.
What a GREAT party!
